TOUR OF DUTY (1987-1990) – THE COMPLETE SERIES ARCHIVE

The harrowing brotherhood, moral complexities, and raw combat reality of Bravo Company in the Vietnam War.

Series Synopsis

Created by L. Travis Clark and Steve Duncan, Tour of Duty stands as one of the most groundbreaking television series to confront the Vietnam War. Set in 1967, the story tracks a single infantry platoon of the U.S. Army’s 196th Light Infantry Brigade, designated Bravo Company. Led on the ground by combat-hardened Staff Sergeant Clayton “Zeke” Anderson (Terence Knox) and idealistic young platoon leader Second Lieutenant Myron Goldman (Stephen Caffrey), the squad represents a cross-section of young American conscripts facing extreme psychological trauma, racial tension, and hostile jungle terrain.

Unlike sanitized war dramas of earlier generations, the narrative follows the soldiers through combat operations out of Firebase Ladybird, hazardous search-and-destroy patrols, deep reconnaissance missions, and eventually urban combat assignments in Saigon. Through intense combat choreography and honest soldier perspectives, the production explores survivor guilt, tactical blunders, combat fatigue, and the unbreakable bonds formed under fire.
